Saturday Night Live veteran Taran Killam will make his Broadway debut today when he steps into the role of King George in Lin-Manuel Miranda's Hamilton. Killam replaces current cast member, Rory O'Malley, who played his final performance at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on January 15.

Javier Muñoz currently leads the Broadway cast as Alexander Hamilton alongside Brandon Victor Dixon as Aaron Burr, Mandy Gonzalez as Angelica Schuyler, Bryan Terrell Clark as George Washington, Lexi Lawson as Eliza Hamilton, Michael Luwoye as Muñoz's alternate, J. Quinton Johnson as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison, Jordan Fisher as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton, and Seth Stewart as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson.

With book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and music direction/orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, Hamilton is based on Ron Chernow's biography of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton. The musical won eleven 2016 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Score, Book of a Musical, Direction of a Musical, Choreography, and Orchestrations and also earned Miranda a Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Killam returns to the stage following last summer's stint in the Encores! Off Center production of Little Shop of Horrors opposite Ellen Greene and Jake Gyllenhaal.
