A Tap-Happy Peek at Broadway's Dames at Sea

Eloise Kropp leads the five-person dance extravaganza.

The Broadway premiere of Dames at Sea has released a clip of the cast performing the number "Star Tar." Led by Eloise Kropp as Ruby, five members of the show's six-person cast take the stage at the Helen Hayes Theatre, where it opens tonight, to show off their tap-dancing prowess.

Directed by three-time Tony Award nominee Randy Skinner, Dames at Sea is a parody of the 1930s Busby Berkeley-style movie musicals, featuring music by Jim Wise and a book and lyrics by George Haimsohn and Robin Miller. In addition to Kropp, the cast includes John Bolton (A Christmas Story) as The Captain/Hennesey, Mara Davi (A Chorus Line) as Joan, Danny Gardner (Lady, Be Good!) as Lucky, Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita (Matilda The Musical) as Mona Kent, and Cary Tedder (Honeymoon in Vegas) as Dick.
