A general rush ticket policy has been announced for the Broadway premiere of Blackbird, which will begin previews today at the Belasco Theatre, with opening night on March 10. The 18-week engagement will continue through June 12. Joe Mantello directs the two-character drama.

A limited number of general rush tickets priced at $32 each will be available at the box office on the day of the performance, with a limit of two tickets per person, subject to availability. Both cash and major credit cards will be accepted for these tickets. The box office is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10am to 6pm.

David Harrower's Olivier Award-winning play is described as "the story of Una and Ray. Fifteen years earlier they had a relationship and haven't set eyes on each other since. Now she's found him again." Mantello also directed the work's New York premiere at Manhattan Theatre Club in 2007, a production that starred Jeff Daniels and Alison Pill. The Broadway premiere will again feature Daniels (God of Carnage) opposite Michelle Williams (Cabaret).

Blackbird's creative team includes Scott Pask (scenic design), Ann Roth (costume design), and Brian MacDevitt (lighting design). Scott Rudin serves as producer.
