Ramin Karimloo, who earned a Tony nomination for his starring role as Jean Valjean in the Broadway revival of Les Misérables, announced on his Facebook page that he will play his final performance with the show this summer. He will take a vacation from July 27-August 3, and then complete the month of performances, playing his last show on August 30.

Les Misérables opened at the Imperial Theatre on March 23, 2014. Featuring songs by Alain Boublil, Claude-Michel Schönberg, and Herbert Kretzmer, the musical is based on Victor Hugo's classic novel as well as original French text by Alain Boublil and Jean-Marc Natel, an original adaptation by Trevor Nunn and John Caird, and additional material by James Fenton.

The cast currently features Karimloo as Jean Valjean, Will Swenson as Javert, Samantha Hill as Cosette, Gavin Lee as Thénardier, Erika Henningsen as Fantine, Rachel Izen as Madame Thénardier, Brennyn Lark as Eponine, Chris McCarrell as Marius, and Wallace Smith as Enjolras.
