Tony winner Patti LuPone has been announced to join the cast of a new West End revival of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's Company. She will star alongside Rosalie Craig in Marianne Elliott's upcoming staging, which features Craig as Bobbi (played by a male lead as Bobby in the original). LuPone will take on the role of Joanne.
Company follows Bobbi as she turns 35, and her friends and family wonder why she isn't settling down and hasn't found the right man. The show features songs including "The Ladies Who Lunch", "Being Alive," and "Side by Side." Elliott's Company is set to open at the Gielgud Theatre in September 2018.
Patti LuPone currently stars in Broadway's War Paint with Tony winner Christine Ebersole as Helena Rubinstein and Elizabeth Arden, respectively. The production, which opened April 6, recently announced that it will end its run at the Nederlander Theatre on December 30 after 33 previews and 300 regular performances.
