Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS has announced Patti LuPone as the latest addition to its Broadway Legends ornament collection. The ninth superstar to join the series, LuPone's ornament follows those dedicated to Julie Andrews, Carol Channing, Angela Lansbury, Liza Minnelli, Bernadette Peters, Chita Rivera, Barbra Streisand, and Gwen Verdon.

This year's 8-inch-tall glass ornament features LuPone in the role of Eva Perón in Evita, for which she won a Tony Award in 1980. The item's description is as follows: "She is dressed in a glamorous, shimmering gown, belting the seminal theater classic 'Don’t Cry for Me Argentina' from the balcony of the Casa Rosada. This dazzling collectible is sure to take center stage in any festive home."

LuPone is a two-time Tony Award and two-time Grammy Award winner. Inducted into the American Theatre Hall of Fame in 2006, she has performed in more than 25 Broadway productions. Notable roles include Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes, Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, and Rose in Gypsy, for which she won her second Tony Award. This spring, she will return to Broadway in the new musical War Paint.
