Hailey Kilgore will star as Ti Moune in Michael Arden's new production of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty's musical Once on This Island, producers have announced.

The 18-year-old Oregon native makes her Broadway debut at the Circle in the Square Theatre opposite Phillip Boykin (Tonton Julian), Merle Dandridge (Papa Ge), Quentin Earl Darrington (Agwe), Alysha Deslorieux (Andrea), David Jennings (Armand), Kenita R. Miller (Mama Euralie), Alex Newell (Asaka), Isaac Powell (Daniel), and Lea Salonga (Erzulie). The Storytellers for this production include Darlesia Cearcy, Rodrick Covington, Cassondra James, David Jennings, Grasan Kingsberry, Tyler Hardwick, Loren Lott, T. Oliver Reid, and Aurelia Williams.

Directed by Arden and choreographed by Camille A. Brown, the musical will begin performances Thursday, November 9, with opening night set for December 3.

The production will feature new orchestrations by original orchestrator Michael Starobin, with AnnMarie Milazzo providing vocal orchestrations. The creative team also includes Dane Laffrey (scenic design), Clint Ramos (costume design), and Jules Fisher and Peggy Eisenhauer (lighting designers). Tony winner Nikki M. James will serve as assistant director, with David Perlow as associate director, Peter Hylenski as sound designer, Chris Fenwick as music supervisor, and Alvin Hough Jr. as music director.

The musical is inspired by the novel My Love, My Love by Rosa Guy. Arden's production "transforms the reality of post-storm Haiti into a fantastical world bursting with Caribbean rhythms and dance," according to a press release.
