Roundabout's Revival of Noises Off Set to Open on Broadway

Michael Frayn’s play-within-a-play officially begins tonight.

Roundabout Theater Company's Broadway revival of Michael Frayn's farce Noises Off opens tonight at the American Airlines Theatre with a cast that features Andrea Martin, Rob McClure, Megan Hilty, and more. Jeremy Herrin directs.

Noises Off is a comic show-within-a-show story that follows the goings-on during the final dress rehearsal of a comedy called Nothing On — and all that can go wrong does. The play premiered on Broadway in 1983 and was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Play, with the original production running more than 550 performances.

In addition to Martin, McClure, and Hilty, the company features Campbell Scott, Tracee Chimo, Daniel Davis, David Furr, Kate Jennings Grant, and Jeremy Shamos.

The creative team for Noises Off includes Derek McLane (set design), Michael Krass (costume design), Jane Cox (lighting design) and Christopher Cronin (sound design), Todd Almond (original music), Paul Huntley (hair and wig design), Lorenzo Pisoni (comedy stunts), and Elizabeth Smith (dialects).
