New Stars of Broadway's Kinky Boots Strut Their Stuff
Production photos featuring the new cast of Broadway's Kinky Boots have been released. The Tony-winning musical welcomed principals Aaron C. Finley (Charlie Price), Shannon O'Boyle (Nicola), and Haven Burton (Nicola) earlier this summer at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.
Inspired by the 2005 British film of the same title, Kinky Boots features a Tony-winning score by Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein. The musical tells the story of Charlie Price, the owner of a failing shoe factory, who realizes that a sassy drag queen named Lola has the key to the business' success. With direction and choreography by Jerry Mitchell, the show took home six 2013 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score, Best Choreography, Best Orchestrations, and Best Sound Design.
