Taylor Trensch, Noah Galvin to Replace Ben Platt in Dear Evan Hansen

Galvin will take on the role between November and January, with Trensch joining the cast thereafter.

Taylor Trensch (Hello, Dolly!) will replace Ben Platt in in Broadway's Dear Evan Hansen beginning mid-January 2018. Platt departs the cast on November 19.

In the interim, Noah Galvin (The Real O'Neals) will join the company in the title role, performing from November 21 through January. Original cast members Laura Dreyfuss, Rachel Bay Jones, Jennifer Laura Thompson, Mike Faist, Michael Park, and Will Roland will remain with the musical through May 2018, with Kristolyn Lloyd remaining with the show through February 2018.

With a Tony-winning score by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and a Tony-winning book by Steven Levenson, Dear Evan Hansen is described as follows: "A letter that was never meant to be seen, a lie that was never meant to be told, a life he never dreamed he could have. Evan Hansen is about to get the one thing he’s always wanted: a chance to finally fit in." Michael Greif directs.
