Television personality NeNe Leakes (Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlantic) will return to Broadway later this year to take on the role of Matron "Mama" Morton in Broadway's Chicago. Leakes will play the role from November 23-December 20 at the Ambassador Theatre.

In 2014, Leakes made her Broadway debut as the Wicked Stepmother in Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella. Leakes has been seen onstage in Cirque du Soleil's Zoomanity and Theo London's Loving Him Is Killing Me. Her many screen appearances include Dancing With the Stars, I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding, Glee, The Celebrity Apprentice, and The New Normal.

Featuring classic tunes by John Kander and Fred Ebb, Chicago tells the story of Roxie Hart, a nightclub dancer who murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media, and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago's slickest criminal lawyer to transform her crime into a barrage of sensational headlines. The current revival, directed by Walter Bobbie, is now in its 19th year on Broadway.

Natasha Yvette Williams will continue in the role of "Mama" Morton through Sunday, November 1. Carol Woods will play the role from November 2-22.
