Original Stars Jarrod Spector and Anika Larsen to Exit Broadway's Beautiful

The pair will be replaced in their Tony-nominated roles as Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil.

Broadway's Beautiful — The Carole King Musical has announced that Ben Jacoby (The Phantom of the Opera national tour) and the show's own Jessica Keenan Wynn will take over the roles of Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil from original Tony-nominated stars Jarrod Spector and Anika Larsen. Spector will play his final performance at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on February 28, with Larsen's last show scheduled for April 24.

The current Broadway cast of Beautiful features Chilina Kennedy as Carole King, Scott J. Campbell as Gerry Goffin, Paul Anthony Stewart as Don Kirshner, Tony Award nominee Liz Larsen as Genie Klein, and an ensemble that includes Gisela Adisa, J. Daughtry, Josh Davis, Kevin Duda, James Harkness, Brittney Johnson, Sara King, Julia Knitel, Douglas Lyons, Rob Marnell, Gabrielle Reid, Rashidra Scott, Sara Sheperd, Kimber Sprawl, Yasmeen Sulieman, Daniel Torres, Melvin Tunstall, and Alan Wiggins.

With a book by Douglas McGrath and songs from the Gerry Goffin/Carole King/Barry Mann/Cynthia Weil catalogue, Beautiful officially opened at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on January 12, 2014. The show follows the life and career of singer-songwriter King and colleagues Goffin, Mann, and Weil, and features songs including "Will You Love Me Tomorrow," "One Fine Day," and "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman," among others.
