Broadway and Hollywood's finest joined together to honor stage and screen icon James Earl Jones at the American Theatre Wing's annual gala, held Monday, September 28, at the Plaza Hotel.

Guests honoring the current star of Broadway's The Gin Game included Angela Lansbury, Samuel L. Jackson, Star Wars creator George Lucas, basketball legend Magic Johnson, Jeff Daniels (Blackbird), Cicely Tyson (Jones' costar in The Gin Game), Sydney Lucas (Fun Home), Norm Lewis (The Gershwins' Porgy & Bess), Kerry Butler (Jones' costar in Gore Vidal's The Best Man), five Mufasas from Broadway's The Lion King, the stars of Hand to God, and many more.
