Broadway's 2016 Tony Awards Finds Its Host

Tony winner and TV talk show host James Corden will serve as emcee of this year's Tony Awards, to be held Sunday, June 12, at the Beacon Theatre. The show will air live on CBS beginning at 8pm.

Corden currently heads CBS' Late Late Show, which he took over in 2015 from previous host Craig Ferguson. He is best known to New York theatergoers for his Tony-winning performance in Richard Bean's One Man, Two Guvnors in 2012. He also performed in the 2004 Broadway cast of The History Boys and the film version of that play.

On-screen, Corden starred as the Baker in the Into the Woods film. He is a BAFTA winner for his work on his three-season BBC series Gavin & Stacey. He was honored with an OBE (Order of the British Empire) for his services to entertainment and charity by the Queen of England during the annual New Year's Honors in 2014.
