It's 2,000 Bows for Kinky Boots on Broadway

Broadway's Kinky Boots celebrated 2,000 performances at its matinee performance on Saturday, January 20. To commemorate the milestone, stars Jake Shears (Charlie Price) and J. Harrison Ghee (Lola) made an about face during curtain call for a photo with the fans in attendance.

Based on the 2005 film, Kinky Boots follows Charlie, who tries to save his recently deceased father's shoe factory from bankruptcy by manufacturing shoes for drag queens. The musical features a score by Grammy Award-winning pop star Cyndi Lauper and a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein. Jerry Mitchell directs and choreographs.

The current Broadway cast of Kinky Boots includes Delaney Westfall (as Lauren), Daniel Stewart Sherman, Shannon O'Boyle, Marcus Neville, Adinah Alexander, Eugene Barry-Hill, Stephen Berger, Joseph Anthony Byrd, Devin Trey Campbell, Justin Colombo, Christopher Convery, Holly Davis, Stephane Duret, Christy Faber, Mia Gentle, Blair Goldberg, Natalie Joy Johnson, Jake Katzman, Kevin Smith Kirkwood, Jeff Kuhr, Eric Leviton, Ellyn Marie Marsh, John Joffrey Martin, Michael Milkanin, Fred Odgaard, Jake Odmark, Jesus Del Orden, Nathan Peck, Jennifer Perry, Kyle Post, Charlie Sutton, Joey Taranto, and Stephen Tewksbury.
