Idina Menzel will reprise her lead performance for the first seven stops of the national tour of the recent Broadway musical If/Then, producers announced today.

Written by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, If/Then tells the story of Elizabeth, a woman who moves back to New York City with the intention of starting fresh as she approaches 40. The story follows two separate paths that Elizabeth's life could take: one as a successful city planner, the other as a wife and mother. The show ended its run at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on March 22 after nine previews and 401 performances. Michael Greif directed the Broadway production and will continue his work on tour.

The Broadway production of If/Then also starred Tony winner LaChanze, Anthony Rapp, James Snyder, Jerry Dixon, Jenn Colella, Jason Tam, Tamika Lawrence, Joe Cassidy, Miguel Cervantes, Curtis Holbrook, Tyler McGee, Ryann Redmond, Joe Aaron Reid, Gabrielle Ruiz, Ann Sanders, Marc de la Cruz, Charles Hagerty, Janet Krupin, and Pearl Sun.

Menzel received Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance. Kitt and Yorkey's score also received a Tony nomination. The show features choreography by Larry Keigwin, set design by Mark Wendland, costume design by Emily Rebholz, lighting design by Kenneth Posner, and sound design by Brian Ronan.

Menzel will lead the tour's first seven stops. It will begin at the Buell Theatre in Denver (October 13-25) and will then play the Paramount Theatre in Seattle (November 3-8), the SHN Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco (November 10-December 6), the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles (December 8-January 3, 2016), San Diego Civic Theater in San Diego (January 5-10, 2016), ASU Gammage Auditorium in Tempe, Arizona (January 12-17, 2016), and Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, California (Jan. 19-24, 2016).

No additional casting for the tour has been announced nor has a replacement for Menzel on stops following her engagement.
