Bernadette Peters Celebrates Her Birthday Onstage With the Hello, Dolly! Cast

One week after opening on Broadway as the title character in Hello, Dolly!, Bernadette Peters celebrated a milestone birthday, her 70th, onstage at the Shubert Theatre. In addition to Bernadette Peters as Dolly Gallagher Levi, the current Broadway cast includes Victor Garber as Horace Vandergelder, Gavin Creel as Cornelius Hackl, Kate Baldwin as Irene Molloy, Charlie Stemp as Barnaby Tucker, Molly Griggs as Minnie Fay, Will Burton as Ambrose Kemper, Melanie Moore as Ermengarde, Jennifer Simard as Ernestina, and Kevin Ligon as Rudolph.

Directed by Jerry Zaks and choreographed by Warren Carlyle, Hello, Dolly! is based on Thornton Wilder's The Matchmaker and features a book by Michael Stewart and music from Jerry Herman. Hello, Dolly! premiered on Broadway in 1964, starring Carol Channing in the title role. A 1995 revival starred Channing in a return appearance. In addition to Channing, the role has been played by Pearl Bailey, Phyllis Diller, Betty Grable, Martha Raye, Ginger Rogers, Ethel Merman (in her last appearance on Broadway), and Mary Martin, who led the West End company.

The ensemble features Collin Baja, Giuseppe Bausilio, Giovanni Bonaventura, Justin Bowen, Max Clayton, Darius Crenshaw, Taeler Cyrus, Julian Deguzman, Leslie Donna Flesner, Carmen Ruby Floyd, Jessica Lee Goldyn, Michael Hartung, Aaron Kaburick, Amanda LaMotte, Ian Liberto, Michael McCormick, Sarah Meahl, Hayley Podschun, Jessica Sheridan, Travis Waldshmidt, Christian Dante White, Kristen Beth Williams, Branch Woodman, Ryan Worsing, Richard Riaz Yoder, Elizabeth Earley, and Jenifer Foote.
