Heather Headley Sings "Too Beautiful for Words" From The Color Purple
Tony Award winner Heather Headley recently joined the cast of The Color Purple at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre as blues singer Shug Avery. While the character lets her vocal chords fly on big numbers like "Push Da Button" and the show's title song, Shug also gets to sing Celie (played by Tony nominee Cynthia Erivo) one of the musical's sweetest ballads.
