Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS has announced participants for Broadway Backwards 2018, set for April 2 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

The evening will include performances by Oscar winner Hayley Mills, Tony winners Len Cariou, Andrea Martin, and Lea Salonga, Emmy nominee Tituss Burgess, Tony nominee Tony Yazbeck, and Broadway favorites Julie Halston, Shawna Hamic, Jay Armstrong Johnson, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Alex Newell, Q. Smith, Elizabeth Stanley, Astrid Van Wieren, Sharon Wheatley, and Christian Dante White.

Broadway Backwards is a star-studded evening featuring performances from Broadway’s brightest talents, with a twist: Men sing songs originally intended for women, and vice versa. Artists will honor the great songs of musical theater while challenging the boundaries and limitations of gender and sexual identity. Funds raised during the evening will go to support Broadway Cares and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center in New York City.

Broadway Backwards creator Robert Bartley will return to direct the show. He will be joined by Mary-Mitchell Campbell as music supervisor and Laura Bergquist as music director. Choreography will be created by Bartley and Adam Roberts. Performers for this year's fundraiser will be announced in the coming weeks.
