In an announcement first teased on the show's official Twitter account, Hamilton has released an official app, now available for all iOS and Android devices.

Initial offerings include an app-based #Ham4Ham lottery entry system, which launches today, August 11, with the national tour in Los Angeles, and rolls out to the New York production on August 22 and the Chicago mounting on August 29.

Additionally, Hamilton sticker packs and emoji are also part of the app, as is a #HamCam, allowing users to transform themselves into their favorite characters. The app also contains a merchandise store and an exclusive Hamilton news source with videos from Lin-Manuel Miranda. Future features include exclusive ticket access, augmented reality, karaoke tracks, and more.

With book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and music direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, Hamilton is based on Ron Chernow's biography of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton. The musical tells the story of Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War, and was the new nation's first treasury secretary. The musical won 11 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Score, Book of a Musical, Direction of a Musical, Choreography, and Orchestrations.
