Hamilton will become one of eight Broadway musicals to perform in Grammys history; previous shows include Godspell, The Magic Show, Sophisticated Lades, La Cage aux Folles, The Will Rogers Follies, Riverdance, Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk, and American Idiot.

It began Broadway previews July 13 and opened August 6 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre after an earlier run at the Public Theater.
