Additional casting has been announced for the upcoming Broadway production of Waitress, the new musical by five-time Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles. The production begins previews March 25, 2016, with opening night set for April 24 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.

As previously announced, Tony winner Jessie Mueller heads the cast as Jenna, a waitress and expert pie maker who is stuck in a small town and a loveless marriage. When a baking contest in a nearby county offers her a chance at escape, Jenna must weigh her commitments against a rare shot at freedom and recognition.

The Broadway company will also include Eric Anderson (The Last Ship) as Cal, Christopher Fitzgerald (Finian's Rainbow) as Ogie, Drew Gehling (Jersey Boys) as Dr. Pomatter, Kimiko Glenn (Orange Is the New Black) as Dawn, Dakin Matthews (Rocky) as Joe, and Keala Settle (Les Misérables) as Becky. Charity Angél Dawson, Jeremy Morse, and Stephanie Torns will be featured in the ensemble.

Mueller, Anderson, Gehling, Matthews, Settle, Morse, Dawson, and Torns all appeared in the musical when it premiered this past summer at the American Repertory Theater in Boston.

Based on the 2007 motion picture written by Adrienne Shelly, Waitress boasts a book by Jessie Nelson, music and lyrics by Bareilles, and direction by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus.
