The entire original Public Theater cast of Danai Gurira's Eclipsed, headed by Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o, will move with the production to Broadway's John Golden Theatre, producers have announced.

Nyong'o will be joined by Pascale Armand, Akosua Busia, Zainab Jah, and Saycon Sengbloh, all of whom originated their roles when the show, directed by Obie Award winner Liesl Tommy, played a sold-out run at Public in the fall of 2015. Eclipsed marks the first time the cast, director, and playwright of a Broadway production are composed entirely of female artists.

Eclipsed is a look at the Liberian Civil War from the perspective of the captive wives of a Liberian rebel officer. With the arrival of a new woman who can read, and the return of an old one who can kill, their possibilities are quickly transformed. Broadway performances begin February 23, with an opening night planned for March 6.
