EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Tony Winner James Monroe Iglehart on Playing Aladdin's Genie on Broadway

Iglehart follows in the footsteps of Robin Williams as he takes on the larger-than-life figure in the hit musical.

James Monroe Iglehart had big shoes to fill when he signed on to play the Genie in the Broadway production of Aladdin. Robin Williams indelibly played the role on screen, and Iglehart had to make it his own. There was no question he was up to the task, bringing down the house nightly with his version of "Friend Like Me," and winning a Tony to prove it.

For a special feature on the upcoming Blu-Ray and digital release of the Aladdin movie, Iglehart discussed the original inspiration for the character, as well as how he learned to tap dance for the spectacular production number.
