There's a certain level of affection that actors feel for the characters they play, and when they take on the same role in different media over 24 years, more than just an attachment forms. It becomes part of their life.

Jonathan Freeman knows this firsthand. Freeman is the iconic voice of Jafar in Disney's 1992 animated film Aladdin. He continued to play the part on television shows and even in a board game. He also originated the live-action Jafar in the hit Broadway version of Aladdin, and you can see him delighting audiences eight times a week at the New Amsterdam Theatre.

For a special feature on the upcoming Blu-Ray and digital release of the Aladdin movie, Freeman sat down with Disney Theatricals head honcho Thomas Schumacher to discuss his long association with Jafar, and the production has provided TheaterMania with an exclusive clip, which you can see below.
