Broadway's On Your Feet! Finds a New Leading Man

Original On Your Feet! leading man Josh Segarra will depart the production on July 10, producers have announced. Puerto Rican performer Ektor Rivera, winner of the reality series Q'Viva! The Chosen, will join the company on July 12, taking on the role of Emilio Estefan.
Rivera has appeared in productions of Rent, Hairspray, Godspell, Piaf, High School Musical, The Outsiders, and The Mousetrap. On Your Feet! will be his Broadway debut.
Directed by two-time Tony winner Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots) and choreographed by Olivier Award winner Sergio Trujillo (Jersey Boys), the musical features a book by Academy Award winner Alexander Dinelaris (Birdman) as well as Estefan's chart-topping hits like "Rhythm Is Gonna Get You," "1-2-3," and "Conga," and new music penned by the Estefans.
The company is led by Ana Villafañe as Gloria Estefan, alongside Andréa Burns as Gloria's mother, Gloria Fajardo; Alma Cuervo as Gloria's grandmother Consuelo; Alexandria Suarez as Little Gloria; Eduardo Hernandez as Nayib/Young Emilio; along with Fabi Aguirre, Karmine Alers, Yassmin Alers, David Baida, Natalie Caruncho, Henry Gainza, Linedy Genao, Carlos E. Gonzalez, Nina Lafarga, Genny Lis Padilla, Omar Lopez-Cepero, Hector Maisonet, Marielys Molina, Felix Monge, Doreen Montalvo, Liz Ramos, Eliseo Roman, Luis Salgado, Marcos Santana, Martín Solá, Jennifer Sanchez, Brett Sturgis, Kevin Tellez, Eric Ulloa, Tanairi Sade Vasquez, and Lee Zarrett.
