Eddie George, Ohio State University's 1995 Heisman Trophy winner and a former running back for the Tennessee Titans football team, is gearing up to join the Broadway production of Chicago. His seven-week engagement as Billy Flynn runs January 12-February 28 at the Ambassador Theatre.

After a college career on the Ohio State Buckeyes, which netted him the Heisman, George played for the Tennessee Titans, where he played for nine years. He led the team to Super Bowl Super Bowl XXXIV in 2000 and was selected to the Pro Bowl during four consecutive years.

After he finished his football career with the Dallas Cowboys in 2004, George transitioned into commentary and analysis and formed his own theater company, Actors by George, in 2012. He has appeared in Matthew Lopez's The Whipping Man and Suzan-Lori Parks' Topdog/Underdog, among other shows. He was drafted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011.

Featuring classic tunes by John Kander and Fred Ebb, Chicago tells the story of Roxie Hart, a nightclub dancer who murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media, and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago's slickest criminal lawyer to transform her crime into a barrage of sensational headlines. The current revival, directed by Walter Bobbie, is now in its 19th year on Broadway.
