Producers of Broadway's Waitress have announced that Drew Gehling will reprise the role he originated when he returns to the cast on June 27 as Dr. Pomatter, opposite Betsy Wolfe as Jenna Hunterson. Chris Diamantopoulos will play his final performance as Dr. Pomatter on June 25, and Betsy Wolfe joins the production on June 13.

Inspired by Adrienne Shelley's 2007 motion picture, Waitress features songs by Bareilles, a book by Jessie Nelson, and direction by Diane Paulus. The production opened April 24, 2016, at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre and earned four Tony nominations, including Best Original Score Written for the Theatre. Choreography is by Lorin Latarro.

Currently, Sara Bareilles heads the company in the role of Jenna, alongside Tony nominee Will Swenson as Earl and Chris Diamantopoulos as Dr. Pomatter. Eric Anderson (Cal), Charity Angél Dawson (Becky), Christopher Fitzgerald (Ogie), Caitlin Houlahan (Dawn), and Dakin Matthews (Joe), as well as Matt DeAngelis, Cate Elefante, Thay Floyd, Henry Gottfried, Molly Hager, Aisha Jackson, Molly Jobe, Max Kumangai, Anastacia McClesky, Ella Dane Morgan, Jeremy Morse, Olivia Phillip, Stephanie Torns, and Ryan Vasquez complete the cast.
