Drama Desk Awards Host Michael Urie Drops by New York Live

Michael Urie, the Broadway, off-Broadway, and television star, and two-time Drama Desk Award winner, will be hosting the 61st Annual Drama Desk Awards at Town Hall on June 5. This morning, he stopped by the set of NBC New York's New York Live to spread the word about the show, one of New York theater's biggest events.

The Drama Desk Awards celebrates the best of Broadway, off-Broadway, and off-off-Broadway, he explained, before going on to talk about his first encounter with Patti LuPone and his planned on- and offstage antics.
