Diane Lane, Harold Perrineau, and More Lead Broadway's The Cherry Orchard

The revival, with a new adaptation by Stephen Karam, plays Roundabout Theatre Company’s American Airlines Theatre.

Performances are under way for the new Broadway revival of Anton Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard. Tony-winning playwright Stephen Karam (The Humans) lends a new version of the classic play for Roundabout Theatre Company, set for an official opening at the American Airlines Theatre on October 16. Simon Godwin directs the production, which began previews September 15.

Oscar nominee Diane Lane, who made her Broadway debut in the 1977 revival of The Cherry Orchard, heads the cast as Madame Ranevskaya, alongside Tony winner Chuck Cooper (Pischick), Tavi Gevinson (Anya), Tony winner John Glover (Gaev), two-time Drama Desk Award winner Celia Keenan-Bolger (Varya), Harold Perrineau (Lopakhin), and Tony winner Joel Grey (Firs). The production also features Kyle Beltran, Tina Benko, Susannah Flood, Maurice Jones, Quinn Mattfeld, Peter Bradbury, Philip Kerr, Lise Bruneau, Jacqueline Jarrold, Ian Lassiter, and Carl Hendrick Louis.
