Beginning August 31, the box office at the Helen Hayes Theater will sell tickets for preview performances of Broadway's Dames at Sea for $19.33 each, in celebration of the year in which the musical is set. There will be a limit four tickets per transaction.

In addition, between the hours of 10am-11am on the 31st, dancers will have the opportunity to demonstrate their own original 60-second tap combination for Assistant Director and Choreographer Emily Morgan. Winners will be given the chance to join the cast of Dames at Sea at curtain call of the Gypsy Run.

Dames at Sea follows Ruby, fresh off the bus in Manhattan, as she gets her first New York musical role — only to find out, along with the rest of the cast, that the theater is about to be demolished on opening night. Featuring music by Jim Wise and a book and lyrics by George Haimsohn and Robin Miller, the musical is a parody of the 1930s Busby Berkeley-style movie musicals.

Leading the cast will be John Bolton (A Christmas Story) as The Captain/Hennesey, Mara Davi (A Chorus Line) as Joan, Danny Gardner (Lady, Be Good!) as Lucky, Eloise Kropp (On the Town) as Ruby, Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita (Matilda) as Mona Kent, and Cary Tedder (Honeymoon in Vegas) as Dick. Three-time Tony Award nominee Randy Skinner (42nd Street) directs and choreographs the show's first-ever revival.

Dames at Sea will begin performances at the Helen Hayes Theatre on September 24 in advance of an October 22 opening.
