Cyndi Lauper Releases Unheard Demo Track of "Not My Father's Son" from Kinky Boots

To celebrate Father's Day, the Broadway production of Kinky Boots has released a previously unheard demo of Tony- and- Grammy-winning songwriter Cyndi Lauper singing the show's signature ballad, "Not My Father's Son." This track was one of the first songs to be written for the show, and was initially recorded in 2009. You can listen to it below.

In 2013, Lauper won the Tony Award for Best Original Score for the Broadway musical Kinky Boots, making her the first woman in history to win in the category by herself.
