Seven years after playing a 68-performance run at Broadway's Marquis Theatre, the musical Cry-Baby will receive a cast album, featuring most of the original company. The album will drop this fall on the Broadway Records label, with an official release date to be announced.

Cry-Baby features a Tony-nominated score by David Javerbaum and Adam Schlesinger and a Tony-nominated book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan. Based on the Universal Pictures film written and directed by John Waters, it tells the story of Wade "Cry-Baby" Walker, the baddest man in 1954 Baltimore, who falls for local good girl Allison.

Premiering on Broadway in 2008, Cry-Baby originally starred James Snyder in the title role, alongside Elizabeth Stanley as Allison, Alli Mauzey as Lenora, Christopher J. Hanke as Baldwin, Chester Gregory II as Dupree, Harriet Harris as Mrs. Vernon-Williams, and Richard Poe as Judge Stone. The ensemble was made up of Cameron Adams, Ashley Amber, Nick Blaemire, Michael Buchanan, Eric L. Christian, Colin Cunliffe, Lisa Gadja, Michael D. Jablonski, Laura Jordan, Brendan King, Carly Jibson, Lacey Kohl, Marty Lawson, Spencer Liff, Courtney Laine Mazza, Mayumi Miguel, Tori Ross, Ryan Silverman, Eric Sciotto, Peter Matthew Smith, Allison Spratt, Charlie Sutton, and Stacey Todd Holt.

In anticipation of the album release, original cast members including Snyder, Stanley, Mauzey, Hanke, and Harris will reunite for a previously announced 54 Below concert on September 17.
