Chita Rivera and several other original cast members from Broadway's The Visit will reunite for a one-night-only album release party and CD signing, complete with live performances. The event will take place Monday, October 12, from 6pm-7:30pm at the Actors Temple Theatre.

Joining Rivera are costars Tom Nelis, Jason Danieley, John Riddle, Michelle Veintimilla, Matt Deming, and Chris Newcomer. Copies of the cast album will be available for sale at the event. Audience members may bring a previously purchased copy. Those interested in attending must email VisitRSVP@BroadwayRecords.com with the word RSVP and their name.

The Visit, starring two-time Tony Award winner Rivera, opened at Broadway's Lyceum Theatre April 23 and ran for a total of 61 performances through June 14. The musical features the final score written by the legendary writing team of John Kander and Fred Ebb (Chicago, Cabaret). The recording is produced by the Emmy Award-winning and Grammy-nominated producer Michael Croiter.

The show received five Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical, Best Original Score, and a 10th career nomination for Rivera. It tells the story of Claire Zachanassian , the oft-widowed richest woman in the world. She returns to the hardship-stricken town of her birth, where the locals pray that her wealth will bring them a new lease on life, but the carefully plotted renewal she offers carries a dreadful price. The show is based on the 1956 play by Friedrich Dürrenmatt and features a book by Terrence McNally.

In addition to Rivera, Nelis, Danieley, Riddle, Veintimilla, Deming, and Newcomer, the cast also featured late Tony winner Roger Rees, who left the production midway through its run and died shortly thereafter, as well as Diana Dimarzio, David Garrison, Rick Holmes, Aaron Ramey, Timothy Shew, George Abud, Mary Beth Peil, and Elena Shaddow.
