Event cinema distributor Fathom Events and theater streaming service BroadwayHD have announced a new partnership that will bring live and captured-live theater performances to U.S. movie theaters.

Launching the collaboration, the first title offered in cinemas nationwide will be Roundabout Theatre Company's recent Drama Desk-winning production of She Loves Me, playing on December 1 at 7pm local time. In addition to the performance, the one-night cinema event will include exclusive interviews with the cast and creative team.

In She Loves Me, Tony Award winner Laura Benanti and Tony Award nominee Zachary Levi star as Amalia and Georg, two parfumerie clerks who are constantly bumping heads while on the job. But little do they know, the anonymous romantic pen pals they have both been falling for happen to be each other.

The cast also featured Tony Award winner Jane Krakowski and Tony Award nominee Gavin Creel, Byron Jennings, Tom McGowan, Peter Bartlett, and Nicholas Barasch.

Scott Ellis led a creative team that also featured David Rockwell (sets), Jeff Mahshie (costumes), Don Holder (lights), Jon Weston (sound), Larry Hochman (orchestrations), and David Krane (dance arrangements and incidental music).

The production opened at Studio 54, where it played through July 10. During its run, She Loves Me became the first Broadway musical to stream live during a performance.
