Wayne Brady, Betsy Wolfe, and More to Perform at Broadway Backwards

”Dear Evan Hansen”’s Noah Galvin and Taylor Trensch also join the concert lineup.

This year's sold-out Broadway Backwards concert, benefiting Broadway Cares and The Center, has announced more stars set to perform at the annual gender-swapping event that celebrates love and the LGBT community. Produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the concert will be held on Monday, April 2, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

The newest additions to the cast include Emmy Award winner Wayne Brady (Kinky Boots), Bryan Terrell Clark (Hamilton), Noah Galvin (Dear Evan Hansen), Gaelen Gilliland (SpongeBob SquarePants), Telly Leung (Aladdin), Michael McElroy (Sunday in the Park with George), Andrea McArdle (Annie), Joey McIntyre (New Kids on the Block), Eric Petersen (Escape to Margaritaville), Martha Plimpton (TV’s The Real O'Neals), Ethan Slater (SpongeBob SquarePants), Nico Tortorella (TV’s Younger), Taylor Trensch (Dear Evan Hansen), Anneliese van der Pol (TV’s That’s So Raven), and Betsy Wolfe (Waitress).

They join a previously announced lineup that includes Emmy nominee Tituss Burgess, Tony winner Len Cariou, Julie Halston, Shawna Hamic, Jay Armstrong Johnson, two-time Tony winner Andrea Martin, Academy Award winner Hayley Mills, Alex Newell, Tony winner Lea Salonga, Q. Smith, Astrid Van Wieren, Sharon Wheatley, Christian Dante White, and Tony nominee Tony Yazbeck. Performers are subject to change.

Broadway Backwards creator Robert Bartley will direct the show, joined by Mary-Mitchell Campbell as music supervisor and Laura Bergquist as music director. Choreography will be by Bartley, Adam Roberts, and Chaz Wolcott.
