Panic! At the Disco's Brendon Urie Previews Broadway Run in Kinky Boots

Urie makes his Broadway debut starting tomorrow.

Panic! At the Disco frontman Brendon Urie previewed his upcoming run as Charlie Price in Kinky Boots on May 24. Urie makes his Broadway debut May 26-August 6 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, succeeding Killian Donnelly in the role.

Urie is the frontman of the Grammy-nominated rock band, Panic! At the Disco. The band’s fifth studio album, Death of a Bachelor, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Chart, with their single "Victorious" debuting at No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs, iTunes Alternative Songs, and Billboard Twitter’s Trending 140 charts.

Inspired by the 2005 British film of the same title, Kinky Boots features a Tony-winning score by Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein with direction by Jerry Mitchell. The musical tells the story of Charlie Price, the owner of a failing shoe factory who realizes that a sassy drag queen named Lola has the key to the business' success.
