The 2017 Jimmy Awards kicked off the summer at Broadway's Minskoff Theatre on June 26 where the country's most talented high school musical theater students proved their Broadway chops. It's just about time for a new school year, and thus, a new slew of students get ready to gun for one of next year's spots. But before that next class makes its way to the Minskoff, the Jimmys felt like offering a throwback to the June ceremony — particularly the role played by its effusive host, Ben Platt.
