The Broadway premiere of A.R. Gurney's Sylvia opens tonight at the Cort Theatre with Tony winner Annaleigh Ashford (You Can't Take It With You) in the title role. As Sylvia, Ashford plays a dog who has been newly adopted into the home of a couple played by Matthew Broderick and Julie White. Robert Sella completes the company. Daniel Sullivan directs.
