Broadway's Anastasia Releases Its First Cast Photo

Christy Altomare, Derek Klena, and Ramin Karimloo get ready for their Broadway arrival.

The stage adaptation of the hit 1997 animated film Anastasia begins Broadway performances March 23 at the Broadhurst Theatre in advance of an April 24 opening. Leading the cast will be Christy Altomare in the title role, along with Derek Klena as her love interest Dmitry and Ramin Karimloo as Gleb, a new character written for the musical. In anticipation of the show's Broadway debut, the trio of stars snapped their first cast photo. Take a look below.

Directed by Tony winner Darko Tresnjak, Anastasia features a score by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, who penned the original film's popular tunes. The cast also includes John Bolton as Vlad Popov, Caroline O'Connor as Countess Lily Malevsky-Malevitch, and Mary Beth Peil as Dowager Empress Maria Feodorovna.
