Aladdin Grants a Wish to Its One Millionth Guest

Sometimes it pays to play the lottery.

On July 23, Broadway's Aladdin welcomed its one millionth guest to the New Amsterdam Theatre and lavished the lucky theatergoer with a bounty of granted wishes. The fortunate ticket holder was Stephanie Lubin, a medical student from Melville, Long Island, accompanied by high school sweetheart Kevin Sparaco, who had suggested the pair try the musical's daily lottery. Little did they know, their lottery win would be just the first of the day's surprises. As ushers scanned the one millionth ticket, a champagne and confetti celebration ensued, followed by an upgrade to premium orchestra seats.

Finally, at the curtain call, the show's Tony-winning Genie, James Monroe Iglehart, did something that genies do best: He presented the couple with two round-trip plane tickets and a complimentary three-night stay for up to 10 guests in Tuscany, Italy, at the Casale I Bianchi-Toscana Resort Castelfalfi.

And in true Disney fashion, they got it all on tape.
