Adam Monley will assume the role of Javert in Les Misérables at Broadway's Imperial Theatre beginning Tuesday, December 22. He will remain in the role through January 28, 2016 before Hayden Tee takes over on January 29.

Monley is an original cast member of this production as the Bishop of Digne and ensemble member and has performed the role of Javert numerous times. He steps in for Earl Carpenter, who is recovering from a neck injury. According to press materials, Carpenter "will not return to the production so that he can undergo a small procedure to ensure a full recovery." Original cast member Will Swenson subbed for Carpenter at many performances since November 18.

The revival production of Claude-Michel Schönberg & Alain Boublil’s classic musical opened at the Imperial Theatre on March 23, 2014, earning three Tony nominations. The cast currently stars Alfie Boe as Jean Valjean, Tony Award nominee Montego Glover as Fantine, Tony Award and Olivier Award nominee Gavin Lee as Thenardier, Rachel Izen as Madame Thenardier, Brennyn Lark as Eponine, Chris McCarrell as Marius, Alex Finke as Cosette, and Wallace Smith as Enjolras.
