Aaron C. Finley and Shannon O’Boyle to Join Cast of Broadway's Kinky Boots

The cast of Broadway's Kinky Boots will welcome Aaron C. Finley (It Shoulda Been You) on August 8 and Shannon O’Boyle (Once the Musical) on July 25. Kinky Boots currently plays at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

Finley will take over the role of Charlie Price from Andy Kelso with O’Boyle succeeding Cortney Wolfson in the role of Nicola. In addition, Haven Burton will return to the role of Lauren on August 15, taking over for Jeanna de Waal.

Inspired by the 2005 British film of the same title, Kinky Boots features a Tony-winning score by Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein. The musical tells the story of Charlie Price, the owner of a failing shoe factory, who realizes that a sassy drag queen named Lola has the key to the business' success. With direction and choreography by Jerry Mitchell, the show took home six 2013 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score, Best Choreography, Best Orchestrations, and Best Sound Design.

The current Broadway cast of Kinky Boots includes Alan Mingo Jr., Daniel Stewart Sherman, Marcus Neville, Nick Rashad Burroughs, Sean Patrick Doyle, Kevin Smith Kirkwood, Fred Odgaard, Kyle Post, Hernando Umana, Adinah Alexander, Eugene Barry-Hill, Stephen Berger, Devin Trey Campbell, Christopher Convery, Alfred DalPino, Holly Davis, Jesus Del Orden, Christy Faber, Mia Gentile, Blair Goldberg, Natalie Joy Johnson, Jake Katzman, Ross Lekites, Eric Leviton, Ellyn Marie Marsh, John Jeffrey Martin, Nathan Peck, Robert Pendilla, Stephen Tewksbury, and Timothy Ware.
