Kyle Dean Massey will return to the role of Gabe in the Broadway musical Next to Normal, beginning January 4. He replaces original cast member Aaron Tveit.

The musical, now at the Booth Theatre, is directed by Michael Greif, and features music by Tom Kitt and book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey. It stars Alice Ripley, J. Robert Spencer, Jennifer Damiano, Adam Chanler-Berat, and Louis Hobson. It has received 11 Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical.

Massey previously played Gabe this summer during Tveit's scheduled leave from the show. His stage credits also include the Broadway productions of Wicked and Xanadu and the Off-Broadway production of Altar Boyz.
