On Sunday, October 17, 1999 I went to the Broadway Show called FOSSE. It was a little different than most Broadway shows because it is not based on a story. FOSSE is a collection of dance numbers from a bunch of different shows that Bob Fosse choreographed. Bob Fosse was a very famous and successful dance choreographer and I can see why! I loved the combination of the lights, the scenery, the music and the variety of dancing. FOSSE was broken down into three Acts, each having about five to ten dance scenes. There were two intermissions. The show was about two hours of incredible dancing and music. Scenes that I enjoyed the most were: Big Spender, Shoeless Joe from Hannibal, Mo., Steam Heat, and Rich Man's Frug. The end was definitely the best because all the dancers were on the stage at once. It was a true Grand Finale. The dance moves and music were great. I was dancing in my seat. If you like fast moving dancing and music, and you don't care that there's not a story line, you have got to see this show. FOSSE is a cool show and on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, I rate FOSSE an 8.
