Rock On!

David Hyde Pierce, Lauren Bacall, Ben Chaplin, Jenn Gambatese, Ian McShane, James Pickens Jr., Josh Strickland, and Roger Waters help celebrate the opening of Tom Stoppard's Rock 'n' Roll.











On November 4, Rock 'n' Roll, the latest masterpiece from award-winning playwright Sir Tom Stoppard (pictured) opened at Broadway's Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre to a slew of rapturous reviews.

















Celebrating after the performance were co-stars (and real-life couple) Alice Eve and Rufus Sewell, who were part of the show's original London cast.



















The happily married Nicole Ansari and Brian Cox also came over from the West End to re-create their roles as Lenka and Max...




















...as did the brilliant Sinead Cusack, who plays two roles in the play: Eleanor and Esme.






















The opening night crowd included Pink Floyd singer-guitarist Roger Waters, whose music provides much of the backdrop for the play...






















....the legendary Lauren Bacall...




















....Tony Award winner David Hyde Pierce, still delighting crowds nightly in Curtains...





















...and his wonderful co-star in that delightful Kander-Ebb musical, Karen Ziemba.




















Also representing the Broadway contingent were Ian McShane, who will bow later this month in the revival of Harold Pinter's The Homecoming...




















...Jenn Gambatese, who's co-starring in the new comedy Is He Dead?, accompanied by her former Tarzan co-star Josh Strickland...



















...award-winning British actor Conleth Hill, who's co-starring in Conor McPherson's The Seafarer,,,






















...along with another of that drama's headliners, Jim Norton.






















Making the show's opening even a more star-studded affair were James Pickens, Jr., who stars on the hit ABC series Grey's Anatomy...




















...former West Wing star Janel Moloney, who recently made her Off-Broadway debut in 100 Saints You Should Know...





















...and British film and stage star Ben Chaplin, last seen on our shores in The Retreat From Moscow.
