The Broadway production of Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All, starring Ellen Burstyn, has closed. Its first official performance on Monday, November 17 was also its last.

The play was adapted by Martin Tahse from Allan Gurganus's 1989 novel. The Broadway production began previews on October 31 at the Longacre Theatre and played a total of 19 previews prior to its opening. It starred Ellen Burstyn and was directed by Don Scardino, with set design by Allen Moyer, lighting design by Kenneth Poser, and costume design by Jane Greenwood.

In his review of the show for TheaterMania, David Finkle wrote: "As it stands, Tahse's play is an anemic edit of an eminently worthwhile piece of writing. Those genuinely intrigued by the idea of Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All are encouraged to check out the Gurganus original."
