Dagmara Dominczyk, who most recently appeared on Broadway in Enchanted April, has replaced Laura Benanti in the cast of The Violet Hour, the new play by Richard Greenberg (Take Me Out) that is scheduled to open at the Biltmore Theatre on November 6.

"Due to creative differences, on Monday I made the difficult decision to bow out of The Violet Hour," Benanti said in a statement. "I feel the utmost respect for Manhattan Theatre Club, Richard Greenberg, and the entire company and wish them great success with this production."

Dominczyk, who was also seen on Broadway in Closer, has joined previously announced cast members Robert Sean Leonard, Mario Cantone, Scott Foley, and Jasmine Guy in Greenberg's play about a driven young publisher and the machine that could hold the key to his future.
