Robin Givens will play the role of Roxie Hart in the long-running Broadway revival of the John Kander-Fred Ebb-Bob Fosse musical Chicago from January 16 through March 26, 2006.

Givens, who began her career as a model, first gained fame as Darlene Merriman in the TV sitcom Head of the Class. She has made guest appearances on such shows as Moesha,and Cosby, and starred in the TV movies Beverly Hills Madam, Michael Jordan: An American Hero, Spinning Out of Control, and The Women of Brewster Place. Her film credits include Boomerang, Head of State, A Rage in Harlem, and A Good Night to Die.

Chicago is produced by Barry and Fran Weissler. The revival is now in the ninth year of its Broadway run.
