(© Tristan Fuge) | Savannah Wise has been officially confirmed as permanently playing the role of Sherrie in the Broadway musical Rock of Ages, currently at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. She replaces Amy Spanger, who left the show last month for personal reasons, and has been Spanger's understudy since the show began performances in March.
Written by Chris D'Arienzo and directed by Kristin Hanggi, the musical focuses on a young rocker hungry for his big break and a small town girl who meet in 1987 at a legendary Hollywood club facing its imminent demise. The score includes the hit songs of iconic rockers Journey, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Foreigner, Pat Benatar, Whitesnake, and many more.
The show also stars Constantine Maroulis, James Carpinello, Mitchell Jarvis, Lauren Molina, Paul Schoeffler, Michelle Mais, and Wesley Taylor.
